Pack a tackle bag for a pitch, abseil & ladder for group

Latest Comments

I’ve just finished off another page on how to pack a tackle bag for a group abseil and ladder, based on a topo/rigging guide. The idea of this illustration is to complement the others available to download (also made available as part of a waterproof pad given to those who attend a level 2 training course) under the Training Resources section of the website (click here).

Note that the rope lengths are based on the leader not using SRT for personal progression so would either self lower or climb down the ladder if belayed by a competent second. Hope you find it useful.

How to pack a tackle bag for a pitch if not SRT for leader. If you are SRT for leader then you can half the rope length needed for the releasable abseil, and if doing multiple pitches can carry less ladders (only need one ladder which can travel up the pitches with the leader)
